Rewards & Discounts

This is where your program’s offer lives. There are two sides to it, both set under Configure → Rewards:

• The discount a referred friend receives.
• The reward an advocate earns when someone they refer makes a purchase.

These settings apply everywhere you run AdvocateLoop — the widget, the WooCommerce plugin, and the API all use them.

The referred-friend discount

Choose the discount referred customers receive:

• Discount type — percentage off, fixed amount off, or free shipping.
• Discount value — e.g. 15% or $10.
• Minimum purchase amount — the discount applies on carts at or above this subtotal.
• Maximum discount (cap) — a ceiling on the discount value, useful with percentages.
• First-purchase only — offer the discount only to customers who haven’t ordered before.
• Individual use — when on, the referral discount can’t be combined with other coupons.

The advocate reward

Set what an advocate earns for a successful referral.

Save and you’re done

1. Go to Configure → Rewards.
2. Set the friend discount, then the advocate reward.
3. Save — the new settings take effect for new activity right away.
